NATIONAL ENGINEERING WEEK 2019

Industrial Profile Systems proudly celebrates National Engineering Week and encourages others to do the same.

What is National Engineering Week? Here it is described by the NSPE:

“Founded by NSPE in 1951, EWeek (February 17–23, 2019) is dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers.”

“Today, EWeek is a formal coalition of more than 70 engineering, education, and cultural societies, and more than 50 corporations and government agencies. Dedicated to raising public awareness of engineers’ positive contributions to quality of life, EWeek promotes recognition among parents, teachers, and students of the importance of a technical education and a high level of math, science, and technology literacy, and motivates youth, to pursue engineering careers in order to provide a diverse and vigorous engineering workforce. Each year, EWeek reaches thousands of schools, businesses, and community groups across the U.S.”

Propelling Collegiate Students to Succeed

Each semester Co-op students and interns are placed into real-life, professional positions to gain experience in the workforce.

Projecting Future Opportunities

High School students are given the opportunity to see a side of mechanical engineering they may never have imagined. Every new avenue is a spark for their future.

Creative Freedom

Engineers thrive on creativity. Therefore, we let our students and engineer team flex their brain muscles.

EMPOWERING FUTURE ENGINEERS

To continue positively shaping our world, talented engineers must be involved. It takes the mind of a creative, who is able to pave the way for development through innovation, to really change our society for the better.

Industrial Profile Systems is actively doing our part in developing the next generation of engineers. Continued involvement from our company and others may potentially increase the number of talented engineers. Each semester Co-op students and interns are hired to gain real-world experience. Interns aren’t delivering mail and coffee here. Instead, they are challenged in several ways. Many engineering students love learning more about our product because of the design flexibility. They are able to create anything with extruded aluminum framing. Working with our extensive product index and collaborating with others opens their minds to what they can do in the future.

There are many ways to help empower future engineers. Reaching out to local Universities is a great start. Most Universities have teams and clubs who are constantly looking for sponsorships. For instance, we have sponsored both the University of Akron and Kent State University’s Robotics Teams. Many schools are looking for companies to help donate time to share experiences, while others would greatly appreciate material or services to help with school projects. Really anything you could do would help the cause.

HOW WILL YOU EMPOWER THE NEXT GENERATION?
